Who We Are

Building Bridges of Hope (BBOH) is the North American arm of FUMSIL, a community development foundation abroad. FUMSIL is a Catholic Christian nonprofit organization along the border of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We are comprised of religious and laity committed to community development, assisted by the municipal government in order to help communities with very limited economic resources. The main office is located in El Llano, Elias Pina, Dominican Republic.

We run a wide variety of projects and programs including: mobile medical and dental clinics serving 10,000+ people; educational initiatives (literacy programs, construction of schools, etc.); children’s nutrition program and development center; international volunteer programs; senior center; reforestation projects; and many more!
